The human services workforce is exhausted. Widespread burnout, constant turnover, and overwhelming workloads have created a crisis in care and culture. But what if the answer isn’t just hiring more people but reimagining the employee experience?

In this powerful and timely session, we’ll explore how leaders can shift from survival mode to building thriving, connected, purpose-driven teams. Learn how to foster a workplace culture that promotes psychological safety, engagement, and retention, even in the face of resource limitations. Through research, case studies, and actionable strategies, participants will leave equipped to rebuild the human side of human services.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

– Identify key organizational and environmental drivers of burnout in human services settings that contribute to employee disengagement and turnover.

– Describe the relationship between psychological safety, belonging, and workforce outcomes, including employee engagement, retention, and quality of care.

– Apply a structured Belonging Blueprint to assess organizational culture and determine at least one actionable strategy to improve connection, trust, and employee experience.
