News New trainings added to 2019 fall calendar

What do you want to learn this fall?

The Providers’ Council has added several new offerings to its already robust fall training calendar.

A free, members-only webinar, Understanding the Massachusetts 401(k) CORE Plan for Small Nonprofits, will be held Thursday, Oct. 17th at 10 a.m. The 60-minute session will be presented by Lisa Cardinal, Associate Sales Director of the MA CORE Plan, and there will be time for questions. There are still some seats available for the session, Managing a Culturally Diverse Workforce, taking place on Wednesday, Oct. 23 in Worcester. Trainer Barbara Holland uses interactive activities combined with a conceptual framework to increase understanding of the impact of diverse cultures, values and beliefs on staff recruitment/retention and more. Facilitated by the Healing Racism Institute of Pioneer Valley, the seminar is limited to 30 participants – two each from 15 organizations. It is scheduled for Nov. 4-5 in Needham. A new training – Introduction to Grant Writing – will be the first session held at the new Providers’ Council Training Center at 100 Crossing Boulevard in Framingham. Trainer Anne Meyerson will lead the half-day session on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Register now.
