Keeping Calm in a Crisis – Preparation and Messaging Strategies to Carry You Through a Crisis

In 2025, nonprofits are navigating an environment of unprecedented challenges, marked by complex and fluctuating crisis dynamics. While the specific nature of these crises may be unpredictable, the most resilient organizations are those that anchor their strategic responses in their core mission. Rather than reacting solely to the shifting landscape of individual issues, a robust crisis strategy emphasizes the organization’s fundamental purpose, ensuring that its actions remain consistent with its values and long-term goals. This mission-centric approach provides a stable foundation, enabling nonprofits to adapt effectively to diverse challenges while maintaining their essential identity and impact. Factors such as, economic uncertainty, and increasing demands for services, are just a few of the items that nonprofits are having to deal with.

During this virtual session, Memphis’ largest public relations firm, Obsidian Public Relations, will lead you through the crisis planning and message development process, equipping you with the tools to build a tactical plan, align leaders and your board to your vision, and prepare to respond and react quickly to any number of crises.
