News Council submits testimony to Joint Committee on H.2104 | S.1325

On October 8, the Providers’ Council submitted testimony to the Joint Committee on Labor and Workforce Development in support of House Bill 2104 and Senate Bill 1325, An act relative to meeting human service demand by modernizing incentives for the direct care workforce.

This bill, crafted by the Arc of Massachusetts, would require that Chapter 257 rates that fund direct care staff and direct support professionals’ salaries be consistent with the Bureau of Labor Statistics 75th percentile. This would, over time, increase wages for those providing these critical services.
