In a polarized political climate, workplaces can become arenas of tension and conflict. This session hosted by YW Boston provides practical tools and insights to help employees maintain psychological safety, emphasizing the importance of understanding the distinctions between debate, discussion and dialogue. This presentation will also offer an introduction to “The LARA Method,” a conversation tool designed to facilitate open and respectful dialogue, even on contentious topics. A Q&A segment will allow for further exploration and application of these concepts.
Intended audience: All levels of staff
During this session, participants will:
– Gain tools to maintain psychological safety during conversations in the workplace
– Understand the distinctions between debate, discussion and dialogue
– Understand and be able to utilize the LARA Method when discussing contentious topics
