In over 20 years of work, JRI’s Center for Trauma and Embodiment has developed innovative, body-centered practices to address severe psychological trauma in people of all ages. JRI’s research is recognized internationally as having set the standard for quality embodied trauma care.

In this presentation, presenter David Emerson will share a bit of the organization’s history and explain the why and how. This presentation will share three, evidence-based, simple and accessible embodiment practices that folks can use for themselves and with their clients who have experienced severe psychological trauma.

Intended audience: All levels of staff including middle management and DSPs

 

After this session, participants will be able to:

– Learn more about complex trauma and whole-body impacts

– Understand how severe trauma is impacting their clients every minute of every day

– Learn three, evidence-based, accessible, body-first practices that can be shared any time with any client who has experienced severe psychological trauma.
