Community Training: Navigating Housing Opportunities in Massachusetts

This is a practical training for shelter, housing, stabilization, DV/SA, and homeless services staff who need a clearer working knowledge of Massachusetts housing pathways, programs, subsidies, and realistic housing opportunities.
Attendees will be able to understand MA housing programs, subsidies, and state/federal pathways, identify actionable housing opportunities versus long waitlists and delayed pathways, and match housing search strategy to client barriers and shelter timelines. The training will discuss how to break down public housing, vouchers, lotteries, tax credit units, and workforce housing and prepare stronger applications through better documentation, eligibility alignment, and awareness of common denial points.
