Essence of Thyme and Cravings (ETC) Food Service offers unique training opportunities in our two entrepreneurial café/catering businesses for people to obtain/strengthen skills necessary for employment through food service and retail training in thriving businesses with high standards for quality and productivity.
ETC Food Service prepares and delivers over 500,000 breakfasts, lunches and snacks each year to our partner schools and organizations. Our fully licensed commercial kitchens, located in Hyde Park, Massachusetts and Nashua, New Hampshire, ensure that meals are delivered on time, every time. Gift Shops/Cafés in Nashua and Hyde Park provide locally produced gift items and seasonal menu choices, with training in retail skills.
ETC’s employment delivers real opportunities, real satisfaction, and excellent quality food. Our unique expertise is in providing excellent food, prepared by chefs with extensive culinary training and experience as well as providing a vocational training program for people of all abilities. High expectations produce high results by trainees who go on to supported or competitive culinary and retail employment.
Essence of Thyme and Cravings (ETC) has been providing food services to schools, corporate employee cafeterias, child and senior day care centers since 1988. TILL’s first entrepreneurial business began in a donated commercial kitchen, leading to our move to our own commercial kitchen, café and gift shop in Hyde Park location. In 1994, we expanded northward, opening Cravings in Nashua, NH. In 2019, ETC moved to an expanded state-of-the-art kitchen and retail shop, while remaining in the heart of the Hyde Park community.
