At the Council, we are proud to highlight the achievements of our members who are driving change in the community. To celebrate 50 Years of Impact, the Council is launching a new blog series entitled “Membership Monday,” where we will share information about the incredible work our members do within the human services sector! This membership Monday, as part of our yearlong celebration of the Providers’ Council’s 50th anniversary, we’re shining a spotlight on Vinfen.
Founded in 1977, Vinfen has grown to become a leader in providing community-based support for those in need. With over 370 programs across 500 locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut, Vinfen is focused on helping individuals transition from hospital settings to community living. Over the years, their mission has expanded to include support for individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and behavioral health challenges. Vinfen’s mission emphasizes investing in community based, self-centered support through evidence-based practices. Their focus is on empowering individuals to achieve their goals and lead more independent, productive and valued lives as active members of their communities.
