This week, September 8 through September 12, marks Direct Support Professional Recognition Week in Massachusetts and across the country.
Direct Support Professionals play a vital role in the human services sector by supporting persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They help foster an environment of independence for the people they serve.
However, DSPs often struggle to earn a living wage. Supporting initiatives that aim to boost wages for human services workers is one way to help improve the lives of DSPs.
