The recent 2024 presidential elections have proven to be a pivotal moment in American history, issues such as the economy, healthcare, climate change, and social justice. As the national political landscape evolves, the role of social work is even more critical. Social workers are uniquely positioned to advocate for policies that address systemic inequalities, support vulnerable populations, and promote social justice. Moving forward, social workers will have a crucial role to play in shaping public policy, engaging in community organizing, and providing direct services to those affected by political and economic changes. By leveraging our expertise in understanding human behavior and social environments, social workers can contribute to creating a more equitable and just society in the post-election era.
This session is approved for 1.5 CEUs for Social Work.
