Community Webinar: Running on Empty – Caring for Ourselves When Resources Run Dry

As resources shrink and demands on social workers grow, caring for ourselves can feel impossible. This 90-minute support group provides space to name how these challenges affect us and to experience group therapeutic care and peer support focused on sustaining our well-being. Trained GPS facilitators will guide participants in reflecting together, building resilience, and renewing the energy needed to continue the work. In partnership with GPS Group Peer Support, to expand access to peer support and mental health resources in Massachusetts.
This session offers 1.5 CEUs for Social Work.
During this session, participants will:
– Recognize the signs of burnout and emotional exhaustion common among social workers.
– Practice GPS peer support tools for self-awareness, reflection, and renewal.
– Identify practical strategies to sustain well-being and professional resilience.
