The Providers’ Council and The Caring Force know that student loan debt is a big issue for workers in the human services sector, but we’re trying to gauge just HOW big. We often hear our members say that despite how much they love their job, they often need a second or even third job to help make monthly student loan payments – or worse, are considering leaving the sector.
In response to our members’ needs, the Providers’ Council filed legislation to create a loan repayment program for human service workers. While the bill goes through its committee assignments, we want to hear from you!
Please fill out this brief, anonymous survey by February 28th to help us help you or your colleagues with student loan debt and what other factors contribute to the burden of that debt. You can provide as much information as you want or just stick to the basics; either way, all of your survey responses will remain completely anonymous. We will only use this data for illustrative purposes or report figures in aggregate.
If you are, however, interested in sharing your story at our Annual Caring Force Rally or at an upcoming hearing, please include your name and email address at the bottom of the survey, and we will reach out to you to discuss helping us advocate for this issue.
The survey takes less than three minutes to fill out and will provide us with valuable information. The data we are able to gather from the survey will not only help us better understand the significance student loan debt has on the sector, but it will also help us explain to legislators just how vital the student loan repayment bill is to the human services workforce.
So please take three minutes today to help us better understand and serve the human services sector by filling out the survey by February 28th!
