First and foremost, thank you SO much for your quick response to our urgent call to action! Over 220 of you contacted your legislators over email, phone and social media. This is the exact kind of strength in numbers our coalition needs, and builds our case to prove how much support our bill has.
Unfortunately, amendment #429, “Promoting the Human Services Workforce,” that was based on our livable wage bill, was dropped from the final bill text of House Bill 5562, otherwise known as the economic development bill, alongside over 700 other amendments.
However, our livable wage bill still lives in the Ways and Means committees! Keep an eye out for upcoming action calls as the economic development bill is brought up by the Senate.
