Meet our January 2026 Workforce Hero: Rose Louis!
This month, we’re celebrating Rose Cherley Jean Louis, a Direct Support staff member at North Suffolk Community Services who has dedicated over 20 years to serving individuals in Chelsea! Her supervisor praises her exceptional care, initiative, and flexibility.
Rose’s philosophy is simple but powerful: “I’ve always wanted to make a meaningful difference, however small, in the lives of those I serve.” Her advice for new professionals? Take breaks when needed, seek support from supervisors, and remember to recharge.

Tell Your Legislator THANK YOU for Supporting a Livable Wage!
Our bill, H.223, An act relative to a livable wage for human services workers, was favorably reported by the Joint Committee for Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities to the House Ways and Means Committee. The Senate version of the bill has already been sent to Senate Ways and Means after its favorable reporting.
This is a big step towards achieving a livable wage for community-based human services workers in Massachusetts!
