The Caring Force Blog Supporting Caring Communities – Register to Vote!

| Caroline O'Neill

As we’re just a few weeks away from National Voter Registration Day, we wanted to remind you that it is vital for all 31,000+ members of The Caring Force to register to vote! If we all vote to support caring communities, we can make a difference for Massachusetts. We’re excited to be part of a national effort to strengthen our democracy by registering voters on this year’s National Voter Registration Day, which will take place on September 19, 2023!

CareVote is a nonpartisan voter engagement initiative of the Providers’ Council in which we encourage human services employees to vote to support caring communities. Even though there are no state or federal elections this year, it is important to update your address if you moved and register to vote if you have not already. Many municipalities across Massachusetts may also be holding local elections this fall, and it is critical to have a voice in the future of your community.

You can register to vote online or click here to download the voter registration form.

Visit the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s site to learn more about vote by mail options that are available to all Massachusetts residents.

You can learn more about CareVote and future voting deadlines here. On our website you can also find downloadable flyers that we encourage you to share with your coworkers, clients, friends, and family.

The more Caring Force members who register to vote and cast ballots in elections, the more we can urge our legislators to support the human services sector and caring communities in Massachusetts. Let’s work together to positively impact our communities!
