Thanks to the advocacy of The Caring Force in 2023, we were able to:
Advance critical workforce legislation and secure new funding for the human services sector and workforce, including $173 million in the Chapter 257 Rate Reserve;
Grow The Caring Force to nearly 32,000 members, as a network of advocates and supporters of our pro-workforce legislation;
Advocate for fair pay and a student loan repayment program during the Eleventh Annual Caring Force Rally, including 500 Caring Force members gathering in the Great Hall at the State House;
Share stories of the sector via our monthly Caring Force Workforce Hero spotlights, including stories of recovery, perseverance, and strength.
We look forward to the legislative session continuing in January and continuing to advocate for human services workers and programs.
