Happy Holidays from The Caring Force! As we reflect on an impactful 2024, here’s a look at what we accomplished together:
- Hosted five regional rallies across the state, along with our 12th Annual State House Rally, bringing together nearly 1,500 advocates to advance our legislative priorities.
- Achieved a record-breaking $390 million for the Chapter 257 Rate Reserve in the FY ’25 Budget.
- Supported the distribution of $16.5 million in student loan repayment funds for over 700 human service workers.
- Organized 11 CareVote voter registration tables leading up to Election Day, promoting voter engagement within our sector.
- Secured FY ’25 budget language to study pay disparity between community-based human services workers and state-operated program staff, with the report expected by April 1, 2025.
- Sent 1,000 messages to legislators through our action centers, advocating for our pro-workforce legislative agenda.
