Thanks to the advocacy of The Caring Force in 2022, we were able to:
Advance critical workforce legislation and secure an additional $470 million in new funding for the human services sector and workforce, including $230 million in the Chapter 257 Rate Reserve, $225 million in the Economic Development bill and $16.5 million for a student loan repayment program for human services workers as we worked in partnership with trade colleagues;
Grow The Caring Force to more than 31,000 members, as a network of advocates and supporters of our pro-workforce legislation;
Advocate for fair pay during our first ever Spirit Week, including posting over 100 photos of Caring Force members in their gold shirts on social media and using the #FairPay4HumanServices.
Share stories of the sector via our monthly Caring Force Workforce Hero spotlights, including stories of recovery, perseverance, and strength.
