The Caring Force Blog Excited to be a part of The Caring Force!

| Caroline O'Neill

My name is Caroline O’Neill, and I’m excited to be the new Project Manager for The Caring Force. I am looking forward to working on different priorities and initiatives to strengthen the human services community across Massachusetts. I’m ready to work with the 29,000 members of The Caring Force on growing our ranks and making a difference for the one-in-ten state residents who depend on this sector, as well as human services workers who fill more than 180,000 jobs.

I’m grateful for all of your dedication and hard work – especially during this pandemic. I have witnessed the care provided by the human service sector and seen how it has dramatically benefited the lives of my family and friends. I want to support and advocate initiatives that would help the human services workforce, including fair pay for comparable work and a student loan repayment program – you should be properly recognized and fairly compensated for the incredible work that you do. I hope to follow in the footsteps of my predecessor, Ravi Simon, by continuing to make a difference for all in the human services sector.I recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where I majored in political science and history with a minor in economics. Before joining The Caring Force in June, I interned with lawmakers and public officials, including State Rep. Mindy Domb and U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton, and worked at a government relations firm in Washington, DC.

I can’t wait to begin meeting you and getting to work! If you have any ideas or thoughts about how The Caring Force can amplify its voice on Beacon Hill and beyond, I encourage you to share them with me at coneill@providers.org . Thank you!
