The Caring Force Blog Thank you for RSVPing to the 14th Annual Caring Force State House Rally!

See below for everything you need to know for rally day.

See you at the State House on Wednesday, May 13 at 10:00 a.m.!

Now let’s get ready to rally:

Arrival Information

The rally will take place in the Great Hall and Grand Staircase.

Timeline: Arrive by at 10 a.m. for check-in, refreshments, and networking. Our speaking program will begin at 10:30 a.m. Legislative visits will begin around 11:15 a.m.

Security: The State House has two entrances to use; the General Hooker entrance is on Beacon Street (across from Park Street). The Ashburton Park Entrance is on Bowdoin Street (across from Ashburton Place) and is the accessible entrance to the State House. Wheelchairs available for loan upon request at the Ashburton Park accessible entrance.

You will go through security and metal detectors at each entrance. We are expecting a full house and lines may be long, so please consider getting to the State House on the early side.

The closest T stops are Park Street (Red/Green Lines) and Government Center (Blue/Green Lines).

Volunteer with Us

Whether you’re a Caring Force rally veteran or brand new to the movement, we’re hosting a State House Rally Coordinators Meeting where we’ll introduce ourselves and assign volunteer roles ahead of rally day. Current Captains and Ambassadors are strongly encouraged to attend, or send a representative on their behalf.

Responsibilities may include welcoming fellow rally-goers, distributing materials, capturing moments for social media, or facilitating legislator meetings, briefing peers on legislative asks, and handing out talking points. Every volunteer helps make our rallies a success!

Newcomers welcome!

The meeting will take place over Zoom on April 1, 2026.

You may register for either the 10:30 A.M. or 2:30 P.M. slot.

Invite Your Legislator to the State House Rally

We encourage everyone to visit their legislators at 11:15 a.m. when the programming wraps up. You can contact their offices in advance to set up a meeting or drop in that day. We always recommend reaching out to their offices in advance to assure they’re present at the State House that day!

Learn who your legislators are and where their offices are located in the State House through this link.

Send your legislators an invitation to our rally using this template.

Click the bill numbers below to read more. Fact sheets are available in English, Spanish and French.

S.130 | H.223 – An act relative to a livable wage for human services workers

This legislation would provide student loan repayment to human services workers who provide essential services to hundreds of thousands of people across the Commonwealth.

S.119 | H.283– An act relative to a loan repayment program for human services workers

This bill would eliminate the pay disparity that exists between the salaries of human services workers employed by community-based human service providers and state employees holding similar job titles who perform similar work.

Advocacy Materials

We will provide talking points, a leave-behind letter and a sheet of our budget requests and legislative priorities. If you print, bring and fill out two copies of the leave-behind letter in advance – one for your senator and one for your representative – this will help you save time on Rally Day!
