News The September e-edition of The Provider is now online

This month, we focused much of our coverage on issues of racial equity, social justice, the fall elections as well as the ongoing effects on the human services sector of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are particularly excited to feature a story on Advocates’ innovative Jail Diversion Program, in its 17th year, and an interview with its co-founder Dr. Sarah Abbott.

We continue to honor member staffers in the “Saluting the Caring Force” section on Page 3, and will do more in the months to come.

In this edition you’ll find:

  • Commentaries on racial equity by Kennedy-Donovan Center CEO N. Paul TonThat and Emmanuel Owusu of the African Bridge Network, as well as a call to support elders during COVID-19 by Joan Hatem-Roy, CEO of Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley and North Shore
  • Sen. Adam Hinds (D-Pittsfield) on supporting social services during this “new normal”
A Provider Profile on United Cerebral Palsy of MetroBoston
  • Updates on the Council’s virtual SpeakUp4Equity Convention and Expo planned for Oct. 27-30 (save the dates!)
  • and much more…
