Don’t miss out on the Spring session of one of the Council’s most popular training series, Success as a New Supervisor!
The Council’s Success as a New Supervisor training gives new leaders the skills and confidence they need to excel in their new roles by allowing attendees to explore and define many of the competencies required of those who serve in the role of supervisor. This training is for current and newly promoted supervisors but is also helpful to those considering stepping up to a supervisory position.
This is a two-day, hybrid training provides a crash course in the practical application of leadership skills, the key differences between leadership and management and the best practices for increasing staff engagement and competence.
“I thought the training was wonderful and particularly appreciated that it went beyond just reading through slides. The level of engagement and the breakout sessions with colleagues in the same field were very valuable,” said Abeer Abu-Rubieh, shelter operations manager at Transition House. “Learning collaboratively from others’ experiences helped me determine how to apply those successful approaches to my own role as a new supervisor.”
This is a two-day, hybrid training. The first session will be held on April 15 at the Providers’ Council Training Center (100 Crossing Blvd., Suite 100, Framingham, MA 01702). The second session will be held on April 22 online via Zoom. Both sessions will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
