The Providers’ Council is pleased to announce the dates for two major events this year: The 8th Annual Caring Force State House Rally and Human Services Lobby Day is Tuesday, May 14th and the 44th Annual Convention & Expo is Monday, October 7th.
The Caring Force Rally brings more than 500 of its 26,000 members to Beacon Hill each year to advocate on behalf of the Massachusetts human services workforce. Clients, consumers, staff and others share their personal stories and seek legislative support for the sector.
This year, TCF will be seeking pay equity with state employees working in comparable jobs as well as the establishment of a student loan repayment program for human service workers. Two state lawmakers will be recognized with the Caring Bear Award as the sector’s legislative champions. Registration opens soon.
The Annual Convention & Expo, to be held at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel, regularly draws more than 1,200 human services stakeholders to Boston for a day of learning, networking and celebration.
