The Providers’ Council’s first free, member-exclusive webinar for 2019 is A Guide to Hiring Heroes, is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 30th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. It is presented in partnership with SkillSurvey.
Michelle Reed, SkillSurvey Chief Marketing Officer, and Theresa Mazzaro, a talent acquisition leader and veteran of the U.S. Air Force, will host the webinar to educate executives and HR staff how to best recruit veterans to their workforce.
An estimated 1 million service members are expected to enter the civilian workforce in the coming years and most veterans emerge from their military careers as experienced leaders with proven records of positive employment outcomes. The transition to the civilian workforce can also present challenges.
This 60-minute webinar will cover how to translate a veteran’s resume and the benefits of hiring veterans as well as barriers faced by veteran candidates and employers. Reed and Mazzaro will also cover concrete strategies and online resources that could change the way your organization evaluates veteran candidates. There will also be time for questions.
