News Hundreds of human services workers call for livable wages and loan repayment at The Caring Force’s State House rally

To address the workforce crisis impacting the human services sector in Massachusetts, hundreds of human services workers and advocates crowded the Great Hall of the State House last week for The Caring Force’s 12th Annual State House Rally and Advocacy Day, calling on legislators to push for livable wages and a student loan repayment program for human services workers.

In addition, Senate President Karen Spilka spoke to the crowd and Sen. Joan Lovely and Rep. Mindy Domb each received a Caring Bear Award from members of The Caring Force, as both legislators have been instrumental in supporting the state’s community-based human services sector.
