The state Department of Children and Families announced two updates to provider payments this week.
According to correspondence from DCF Assistant Commissioner Katherine Canada, provider COVID-19 Enhancement Payments for May and June will be paid together. Providers should see the payments by the end of next week, before the July 4 holiday.
Residential Placement Providers will have their amounts increased to 25% of average payments. All others will continue to receive the 10% amount.
The department also said payments are forthcoming for STARR Underutilization for Q3. The DCF has completed its analysis and has entered the payments into the state’s accounting system. Providers should see payments very soon, they said.
In the notification, the agency expressed gratitude to our provider community: “Thank you all for the creativity, compassion and perseverance that you and your staff bring to the challenges of serving and caring for vulnerable youth and their families during a pandemic,” Canada wrote.
