The Providers’ Council today and last Friday submitted testimony at over a dozen Chapter 257 hearings, regarding updated rates for:
- Certain Substance-Related and Addictive Disorders Programs
- Youth Intermediate-Term Stabilization Services
- Family Stabilization Services
- Community-Based Day Support Services
- Certain Elder Care Services
- Supported Employment Services
- Adult Housing and Community Support Services
- Certain Youth and Young Adult Services
- Certain Independent Living Communities and Supports
- Certain Sexual and Domestic Violence Services
- Program of Assertive Community Treatment Services
- Certain Respite Services
- Certain Lead Agency Services
For nearly every rate hearing, the Council urged the Executive Office of Health and Human Services to use the 75th percentile of the Bureau of Labor Statistics data to set fair and comparable salary levels for human services workers, discard its inadequate CAF of 2.78 percent and instead use the latest CPI figure of 4.9 percent or Social Security Administration cost-of-living adjustment of 8.7 percent and increase the tax and fringe rate from the proposed 24.22 percent to 27.97 percent and increase the administrative allocation from 12 percent to between 15 and 18 percent.
