Four Peer Provider Awards and 14 Awards of Excellence were distributed at the Providers’ Council’s 48th Annual Convention and Expo: Advocate | Act | Achieve today, celebrating the human services organizations and leaders for their tremendous contributions to the sector over the past year.
The Peer Provider Awards, hosted by Vanessa Welch of Boston 25 News, were presented to 18 Degrees, Advocates, Gándara Center and TILL, Inc.
The winners of the the 2023 Awards of Excellence were:
- Catherine Nelson – Gerry Wright Direct Service Employee Award
- Felicia Nova – Gerry Wright Direct Service Employee Award
- Out at Home (The Home for Little Wanderers) – Innovator of the Year
- Sen. Jason Lewis – Legislator of the Year
- Rep. Mindy Domb – Legislator of the Year
- Jim Goodwin – CEO of the Year
- Erika Tarantal – Media Partner of the Year
- Michael Goodwin – Supervisor of the Year
- Thompson Stevens – Supervisor of the Year
- Jim Seltzer – Volunteer of the Year
- Lynn Bishop – Ruth M. Batson Advocate of the Year
- Chief Steven Mazzie – Municipal Official of the Year
- Dr. James Feeney – Business Partner of the Year
- Mona MacKinnon – State Employee of the Year

In addition, Road to Responsibility President and CEO Chris White received the Chair’s Award from Sandra McCroom of Children’s Services of Roxbury for his exemplary service to the Council over the past year.
