The Providers’ Council’s popular training series, “Certificate in Supervision,” will be held again this spring, starting next week.
Being a supervisor is one of the most challenging roles in today’s workplace. As the link between leadership and staff, standards of excellence are conveyed by supervisors. When faced with greater expectations and increasing responsibilities, it is critical that supervisors be able to demonstrate effective management techniques. More than 600 supervisors have completed this series, which brings together the knowledge of experienced trainers to address the challenges that supervisors face today.
The series begins in April and includes six sessions, which will be held on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m:
- Communication and Leadership (April 6)
- Performance Management (April 20)
- Situational Leadership (May 4)
- Team Building (May 11)
- Conflict Management (May 25)
- Group Planning and Decision-Making (June 1)
The trainings will be presented by Jim Ognibene of Visioneer Consulting, Comma Williams of Comma Williams Enterprises and Ginny Maglio of Optimum Development.
This series is valid for 18 professional development credits for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®; Application for 18 social work continuing education credits has been submitted. For more information, please email Mesa Merritt.
