The Providers’ Council announced today that it will host a workshop on managing workplace conflict next month, called “Got Conflict? Deal with Conflict Effectively: Tools for Your Toolbox.”
This interactive workshop, which runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, will help you to polish your skills at handling conflict effectively and will add some new tools for positive conflict engagement.
Presented by Gail S. Packer, executive director of Community Dispute Settlement Center, participants will debunk myths about conflict, examine different styles of responding to conflict and identify points of conflict escalation, as well as strategies for de-escalation. This workshop is an opportunity to build in-house capacity to address costly and disruptive workplace conflict more effectively, and to provide managers, senior management, project leaders and staff at all levels the opportunity to develop the skills needed to enhance high-performing teams.
