Congratulations to the 12 recent graduates of the Providers’ Council’s Certificate in Nonprofit Human Services Management in cooperation with Clark University in Worcester.
The graduates — from 11 different agencies, including Advocates, YOU Inc., Worcester YWCA, Bridgewell, NFI, Jewish Family & Children’s Service, Worcester Catholic Charities, Venture Community Services, Seven Hills Foundation and CENTRO, Inc. — graduated via Zoom on July 1.
Diane Gould, president and CEO of Advocates Inc., delivered the keynote address. She urged graduates to “do the right thing, and then do the next right thing.” Gould also spoke of recent racial justice awareness, and noted how important it is for staff in this sector to stay committed to furthering social causes.
The student speaker was Gabrielle Jacobs, an administrative coordinator for Jewish Family & Children’s Service. She spoke to her fellow students about their shared commitment to seeing the program through, and how far they’d come since the beginning of the year.
