For many in the human services sector, the need to counteract social inequities and enculture a diverse workforce is at the forefront of strategic planning and organizational goals. For others, diversity and equity initiatives are only just beginning. Whether you have developed an impactful strategy to embrace diversity or if you are interested in doing so, we invite you to join us for this free, members-only roundtable event on diversity, equity and inclusion.
Since 2016, the Providers’ Council has increased our efforts to promote diversity and inclusion initiatives for our members. We created the Race, Diversity and Inclusion Committee comprised of sector leaders to provide valuable resources, trainings and events to our members as part of our continued efforts to combat systemic oppression and inequity. Through this roundtable event, we are excited to bring together human service representatives from across our membership to share their stories and best practices on combating racial and social inequities within their organizations. Attendees will leave this event with new ideas, resources and an expanded network of colleagues aligned with a similar goal to create communities of respect, equity and inclusion within the human services sector.
Attendees will:
- Share your experience promoting diversity and inclusion within your organization with other providers doing this work;
- Learn best practices and gather resources for moving your diversity, equity and inclusion work forward;
- Develop a network of peers dedicated to advancing similar initiatives at their organizations; and
- Provide ideas to enhance the Council’s Race, Diversity and Inclusion efforts.
Facilitator:
- Debora Bloom, Diversity & Inclusion Consultant, Debora Bloom Associates

This event is free and being held exclusively for Providers’ Council members. Registrations will be limited to two attendees per organization.
