Whether you’re currently working with a budget, would like to move into a role that requires budget oversight or just want to understand what money your program has, this workshop is for you! Designed for program directors and non-financial managers, this session will deliver an overview of Excel, review budgeting basics and empower you to take control of your program’s finances.
Anne Meyerson will teach participants how to determine revenue, assess charitable grants and donations, and calculate expenses. Attendees will have a chance to create a mock budget and review it with the group for feedback at the end of the session.
Participants will need access to Microsoft Excel during this session.
During this session, participants will learn:
– The basics of Microsoft Excel;
– The purposes and uses of a budget;
– The different parts of a successful budget; and
– How to create a program budget.
Please note: This workshop is part of a two-part series focused on budgeting and grant writing.
