The Providers’ Council recently recognized four member organizations for outstanding achievement and innovation in the Massachusetts community-based human services sector.
The annual Peer Provider Awards were presented to Children’s Services of Roxbury, ServiceNet, The Women’s Center and Walker. The organizations were nominated by fellow Council members.
Children’s Service of Roxbury (CSR), nominated by Justice Resource Institute, continues to uphold its mission to provide high-quality services to economically disadvantaged children, youth, families and individuals promoting and strengthening family life and individual growth.
ServiceNet, nominated by Tapestry, provides one of the most comprehensive suites of services in Western Massachusetts, ranging from mental health to developmental disabilities to addiction recovery services.
The Women’s Center of New Bedford, nominated by Bristol Elder Services, is the only organization in the South Coast region providing services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child trauma. The Women’s Center staff brings expertise to the area’s Southeastern Alliance for Elders (SAFE) Coalition.
Walker, which was nominated by The Key Program, has been committed for more than 50 years to children who face educational, emotional and behavioral challenges by providing them high quality academic programs.
