This Thanksgiving, all of us at The Caring Force are thankful for everyone in the community-based human services sector who provides essential care to Massachusetts residents – our family, friends and neighbors. Thanks, too, to the staff and leadership at your organization – we appreciate your commitment and patience while we continue to advance solutions to strengthen the sector.
Before we celebrate this week, we wanted invite you to say thank you to our legislators who helped pass the $3.7 billion Economic Development bill that will include $225 million for human services workers through Chapter 257 supplemental payments!
The advocacy of The Caring Force played a large role in the passage of the Economic Development Bill. We wrote letters and called legislators this summer asking them to support this bill. Thanks to your hard work and advocacy, millions of dollars will be used for recruitment, retention, and rate increases.
Our sector will continue to need support from the legislature as we go into the next legislative cycle. Please use our action center to share to your legislator what this funding means for you and the services you provide.
