Exciting news! The Caring Force and Providers’ Council have been working hard to advance legislation that supports our sector, and we’ve officially reached Stage 3 out of 10 of the law-making process. Our two priority bills have now been assigned official bill numbers and are heading to the Joint Committee for review—a critical step in moving them closer to becoming law.
What Does This Mean?
At this stage, the Joint Committee will evaluate our bills and determine whether they should move forward in the legislative process. This is a key opportunity to demonstrate why these bills matter and how they will positively impact our community. Our bills also graduated from docket numbers to bill numbers:
An act relative to a loan repayment program for human service workers: S.119 | H.283
An act relative to a livable wage for human services workers: S.130 | H.223
