The Caring Force is pleased to announce the January Member Spotlight honoree is Etta Lynn Reynolds, a direct care worker with the Center for Human Development (CHD).
Etta is a dedicated worker who uses her skills and experience to help assist others in CHD’s Children and Families division.
Here’s what Etta had to say about working in human services:
Why do you work in human services?
“I just celebrated my 21st work anniversary this month. I love helping people, it makes me feel so good. I love my job as a direct care worker and love seeing how my work impacts the kids and their families.”
What is your best professional memory?
“I work in human services because I love working with kids. I ran a daycare back in the late 90’s. A child from one of CHD’s programs was enrolled there. He had special needs and needed a lot of love and attention. He really took to me. I realized then that I could make a difference and shortly after, I decided to interview for a direct care job in CHD’s Children and Families division.”
