It’s Direct Support Professional Recognition Week in Massachusetts, and The Caring Force has loved seeing how everyone has been celebrating DSPs! This week is for you and all of your hard work!
Direct support professionals include direct care workers, residential staff, child care workers, case workers, personal assistants, personal attendants, in-home supports workers, aides, paraprofessionals and others. DSPs provide support and help those with disabilities in need, and others lead a meaningful life at home, at work and in their communities. These individuals do some of the most important work in our sector and deserve to be recognized!
Celebrating the work done by DSPs is nothing new to The Caring Force: It’s something we do all year long! Whether it’s our Annual State House Rally, our Member Spotlights or our Broadcast Your Love contest, we love to honor you and the important work you do for our communities and the Commonwealth as a whole.
How have you or your organization been celebrating this week? There is still time to plan something big, and you can start by checking out the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) website for some ideas. We have been enjoying the photos and stories our members have been sharing on social media and encourage you to keep those coming our way! Just tag @TheCaringForce on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
Thank you again to the direct care staff in our sector who have dedicated their lives to caring for others. Please know that the difference you make in the lives of the clients and consumers to whom you provide essential services is immeasurable. Thank you for all your efforts, and be sure to enjoy Direct Support Professional Recognition Week!
