IT Solutions and Financial Management Communities for People has championed the concept of “peer support.” CFP provides IT Solutions and Financial Management services to other smaller nonprofits. CFP is a leader among the region’s child welfare agencies in developing and applying technology to evaluate the quality of programs and services. CFP’s Client Information System (CIS) maintains data concerning client demographics, services provided to clients by network agencies, program outcome information, and client discharge status. One of CFP’s other strengths is its financial expertise. It has used this to provide peer organizations a wide range of support including helping secure grants, extending use of its payroll and insurance programs, providing facilities for programs, and giving general financial advice.
