The Providers’ Council is turning 50 in 2025! In celebration of this milestone, the Council will be running a series of Throwback Thursday posts throughout the year commemorating some of the Council’s most important milestones in its first 50 years. This week, the Council wants to highlight its plans for the future!
In 2024, the Council began crafting a strategic plan for the next few years. Council staff and board of directors gave feedback on the organization’s mission, operations and strategies to create a set of goals for the next three years in 2027.
The Council adopted a new mission statement: “Advancing the interests of the human services sector and providers through advocacy, education, and engagement of diverse stakeholders for collective impact.” This mission will guide the Council’s efforts to strengthen the human services sector with its vision of “building the strongest human services sector in the United States.”
The strategic plan outlined three goals that the Council hopes to achieve by 2027:
- Enhance the impact and influence of the Providers’ Council across the human services sector by implementing bolder policy and broader advocacy initiatives
- Expand education, training, and learning to support member needs and leverage technology to increase impact
- Improve the organization’s operational efficiency and overall impact
The Council looks forward to continuing its vital work with its members as it enters the next chapter of advocacy, education and innovation.
