To support its ongoing objective of promoting and developing the human services sector’s workforce, the Providers’ Council is pleased to offer three types of scholarships for Council member staff pursuing higher education at the graduate level for the 2024-25 academic year.
The available scholarships include:
- (1) Graduate Leadership Scholarship ($10,000) – For a Council member employee who is entering or is currently enrolled in a Massachusetts-based, Master’s degree program.
- (1) Foreign-Born Leadership Scholarship ($5,000) – For a foreign-born Council member employee who is entering or is currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral degree program in Massachusetts.
- (2) Matava and Weekes Scholarships ($5,000) – For Suffolk University students enrolled in the Master of Public Administration program. Formerly called the “Master of Public Administration Scholarships,” these scholarships were re-titled to honor and remember the partnership of former President and CEO of the Providers’ Council Michael Weekes and Suffolk University’s former director of the Moakley Center Sandy Matava.
Applications for the scholarships must be submitted by Friday, August 16.
