News The Council needs YOUR Help to pass its bills in 2025!

The Providers’ Council’s legislative agenda has been filed at the State House for the 2025-2026 session! Now, the Council needs its members to help it secure legislative co-sponsors.

The Council has introduced two bills: An Act Relative to a Livable Wage for Human Services Workers (SD.1201 | HD.3396) and An Act Relative to a Loan Repayment Program for Human Services Workers (SD.1820 | HD.503).

The Council asks its members to take five minutes and send a pre-written letter to their state representative and state senator asking them to co-sponsor the two bills. Members are encouraged to include personal stories; for example, sharing information on a member’s connection to the human services sector and what it would mean for the organization if these bills became law can help make a message more effective.
