News State agrees to Council request for two-month filing deadline extension for annual Uniform Financial Reports

We are pleased to announce  that the state Operational Services Division (OSD) has agreed to a Providers’ Council request to extend the deadline for filing Uniform Financial Reports from November 15, 2020 to January 15, 2021.

The Council made this request to provide our members additional time to fill out this annual document, understanding that there may be COVID-related delays that some providers may experience.

OSD did note, however, that the Supplier Diversity Program form, which is typically submitted with the UFR, will still be due on Nov. 15, 2020. The deadline for the SDP form cannot change due to reporting deadlines that OSD must ensure they make.

We are pleased, though, that OSD has agreed to host a training for Providers’ Council members on the Supplier Diversity Office and how to ensure that your Supplier Diversity Form is filled out thoroughly and correctly. OSD did note that, in the past, forms have not been completed as well as they could have been.

We plan to work with OSD to host this training in mid-September, and more information will be available about how to register and attend in the near future. The training will have a list of eligible supplier diversity programs, and in keeping with recent developments, how to increase your purchases from black and/or brown ownership.

If you have questions you would like to see addressed at this training or any other concerns, please contact Bill Yelenak.

The Providers’ Council and our Business Practices Committee thanks OSD for its positive consideration of this request.
