Providers’ Council membership renewal is underway for 2019 for our more than 220 members across Massachusetts. Applications are due by Dec. 31, 2018.
The Council is committed to working to promote a healthy, productive and diverse human services industry through legislative work on Beacon Hill and Capitol Hill; education and development programs; and advocacy initiatives to strengthen and advance the sector. The Council also sponsors research, reports and forums, including our most recent report – The Face of the Human Services Sector – which was released on Dec. 5 at a forum with state officials and industry leaders. (Download it here.)
Providers’ Council members have access to discounted goods and services from a host of Endorsed Business Partners, including low-cost dental insurance through Delta Dental. Members also have exclusive access to our customizable online learning system, eAcademy, and many trainings and workshops tailored to the human services professionals. More than 36,000 human services employees furthered their education and career goals in 2018 through the Council’s cost-effective learning programs and Tuition Remission.
The Council is also finalizing its pro-workforce Legislative Agenda for 2019-2020 that will focus on pay equity and a student loan repayment program; and will continue to fight against harmful PILOT plans and other legislation to restrict access and affordability for siting programs and residences.
And in 2019 the Council will increase our efforts around diversity and inclusion and continue our workforce recruitment and retention efforts through marketing campaigns and our robust jobs board, which members can access for free.
Membership renewal information was sent to current members by email and by post. If you did not receive it, or have questions about renewal please contact Nicholi McLaughlin by email at nmclaughlin@providers.org or call 617.428.3637 x126.
