Four leaders of the community-based human services sector were honored at the close of the Providers’ Council’s 49th Annual Convention & Expo: Envision the Possibilities today, receiving educational scholarships totaling $25,000 from the Council to further their education at local colleges:
- Josiane Sanon of Old Colony YMCA was awarded the Foreign-Born Leader Scholarship ($5,000);
- Aiko Miller of Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) and Jeffrey Kilty of Community Resources for Justice were each awarded a Matava and Weekes MPA Scholarship ($5,000), which are awarded to graduates of the Council’s Certificate in Nonprofit Human Services Management Program, which is run in partnership with Suffolk University; and
- Franciele Bonatto of Making Opportunity Count was awarded the Council’s Graduate Leadership $10,000 scholarship for an employee entering or currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in Massachusetts.
