Marylou Sudders, secretary of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), announced today that she will retire from public service, effective Jan. 5.
Sudders was appointed by Baker to lead EOHHS in late-2014, making her the longest serving secretary of the office.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March of 2020, Baker appointed her to lead the state’s Response Command Center, which built up testing, contact tracing and data reporting infrastructure to help combat the virus.
