The nonprofit community letter drafted last week in partnership with the National Council of Nonprofits and other nonprofit associations across the country totaled nearly 3,900 signers from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam and Puerto Rico.
Overall, 235 charitable nonprofits from Massachusetts were among the signers on the letter — the second most signers of any state (only trailing North Carolina).
The letter urged Congress to provide nonprofits with financial support, provide low-cost loans to mid-size and larger nonprofits, strengthen charitable giving incentives and provide full unemployment benefit reimbursements to nonprofits that self-insure. Read the letter here.
