News Council announces new training for mid May: “Nature as a Therapeutic Intervention”

The Providers’ Council recently announced that it will hold a new training on May 17 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. titled, “Nature as a Therapeutic Intervention.”

This session, presented Taylor Eagan of The Nature Connection, will show participants how they can incorporate the therapeutic use of nature into work with any population to help create connections, provide meaningful engagement and improve wellbeing.

In this session, attendees will:

  • Take a look at some specific studies that show the benefits of utilizing nature (not only on participants/residents, but also on staff and family members)
  • Discuss a variety of ways to incorporate the lessons learned, taking into consideration limiting variables (cost, time, staff, etc)
  • Work with trainers to develop and troubleshoot an activity specifically for their facility that they can take back with them

This training costs $70 for members and $130 for non-members.
