Attendees will be guided to examine what kind of focus and attention they give to work tasks, how they use their time, what things always get done and why some things just do NOT get done. The presenter — Christine Singer, president of Your Personal Best: Workshops for Success — will review their management of work priorities and the role of technology in their lives to determine if some changes may be needed to increase both productivity and job satisfaction. Several different models on time and attention management will be presented.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Understand the difference between attention management and time management and its relationship to your work environment
  • Identify a minimum of three things that get in the way of working more productively as well as realistic solutions
  • Assess how conflict management contributes to your success or lack of success
  • Review communication models that support stronger time and attention management
  • Identify when technology supports your work and when it disrupts your work
  • Develop a personal work plan focused on achieving desirable results
